STEVE WILSON is a Software Engineer and father of two boys who have grown up with technology, Steve is constantly explaining to them why he can’t fix the crash on their latest iPad game. When not on Tampa Bay fishing or boating with the family, Steve can usually be found coaching one of his sons’ youth sports teams.
Steve has never strayed far from the Tampa area, growing up in the Brandon area and later graduating from University of South Florida with a degree in Computer Science. From there, Steve went to work as a Software Engineer and later Program Manager developing mobile dispatching software for utility companies. His passion for photography led him to join the team at Accusoft (previously Pegasus Imaging) to work on medical and photo imaging software solutions. At Accusoft, Steve was promoted to Director of Native Core Imaging and given responsibility for a team of Software Engineers working on products totaling 65% of the company’s annual revenue.
As a student of technology, Steve is always working on new projects in his spare time to update his technical skills. Steve was particularly drawn to mobile development later developing Grill-It!, a BBQ and grilling app for iPhone that has consistently ranked in the top 50 apps in the Food and Drink category of the Apple App store. MamaBear was the next logical step for Steve, a place where he can combine his passion for mobile development with the most his most important responsibility, keeping his kids safe.
